Reko rugs are hand woven using a mix of 60% viscose 35% cotton and 5% polyester yarns. Alternate lines of silky viscose and cotton yarns are used to create a fine, textured rib pile with a subtle light reflective sheen. The surface is cropped very low to produce a short 5 mm thick pile, all edges are hand serged in matching yarns. Choose between soft neutrals and bold accents colours.
We recommend the use of Teebaud anti-slip underlay with your rug.
This reduces the potential for trip hazards by minimising slippage.
See our Teebaud Anti-slip Underlay for more details
Vacuum regularly, the heavier the traffic the more frequent you should vacuum.
High Loops and Sprouting Tufts
Long threads, high tufts or high loops may appear above the pile surface.
Stains and Spillage
It is important to deal with any spills quickly. If in doubt about how to treat a stain do not attempt to clean and let the stain dry.
Use a specialist cleaning company or visit James.eu for suitable cleaning products for all rugs.
Never rub a stain or over-wet the stained area. This can cause permenant damage to the pile. Do not " wet clean " viscose rugs using conventional cleaning products or machines with rotating brushes.
Viscose is susceptible to staining, and the appearance can easily be ruined if spills are not dealt with correctly. Water or liquid spills change the texture of the viscose, causing the pile to reflect light differently to give the appearance of a stain and yellowing of the fibre can occur.
