Sarouk lies within the province of Arak on the fringe of the Ferahan Plain.Noted for there huge output of quality rugs in early 1900s upto the 1970s.These rugs were imported into America in huge amounts.The production as with most Persian goods is becoming harder to source in the West.This is a Classic Persian rug design with a central teardrop medallion ,the piece is approximately 25 - 30 years old with no repairs or low areas  with an excellent quality wool pile clipped to approximately 8mm.
