Used extensively for Shaggy rugs, the fibre dyes well, and can be spun into thick chunky yarns to produce heavy pile weights. The fibre is often blended with other fibres including polypropylene and wool. The rugs are usually available in machine made wilton constructions although the fibre is sometimes used in hand woven and hand-tufted production.
