Inspired by ancient Turkomen rug designs from the Louis de Poortere archive.
Antique Hadshlu rugs are machine woven on jacquard Wilton looms by Louis de Poortere using high quality cotton chenille yarns. Over a century of skill and craftsmanship is woven into each rug with multiple layers of texture, distressed areas and intricate stitching detail to give a true vintage and aged appearance. Woven in a 3 mm thick flat weave construction, each piece is hand finished with reinforced corners. A new addition to the Antiquarian rug collection featuring the legendary 782-Hadschlu design from Louis de Poortere, re-edited in its flatweave, distressed version. Sometimes called "The Notary Rug", this antique effect Hadschlu has the particularity that it blends into a classic notary study, as elegantly as in a slee, minimalist yuppie interior. It just adds that classy touch that says you know what you want. Available in five standard size options, manufacturer recommends professional dry clean only.
